I decided at the end of 2011 I was going to attempt to do a Project 52 this year. Take (at least) one picture a week, every week this year. I’ve never done one before and thought it would be a good challenge for me to try and better my skills as well as capture memories for my own personal collection. Even though I have my camera out almost all the time, it’s easy to overlook the little things in my life and take pictures of the stuff that matters and that’s what I wanted to do with this. I didn’t theme each week or even each month. My only stipulations were that they were personal shots taken for ME and that they were random, spur of the moment. No staging in positions, no planning days ahead, (and the hardest for me) no fixing hair, make-up or wardrobe. I wanted to get a little practice in the “not best of” conditions and gain some pictures for me to look at for years to come of my everyday chaos that I couldn’t live without!
Week 1: I caught my hubby and daughter snuggled on the floor watching Nick Jr and taking a nap.
Week 2: Here is Chris getting Emma dressed for bed. He had no idea I was taking this and his expression is priceless.
Week 3: Chris wasn’t thrilled when I randomly jumped up from our intense game of Mancala to grab my camera and tripod. But when he saw all the shots I got of our game night, he couldn’t have been happier.
Week 4: Jumpin’ beans! Emma loves jumping on our bed and dancing to music. It’s one of the memories that I’ll miss the most when she grows out of it.
