This wedding was such a unique experience for me! I’ve known Stephen since probably before I even hit elementary school. He had family that lived by my grandmother and whenever I was down there for a visit, we would play at the playground or trade baseball cards (though, I really didn’t have any idea about baseball cards and to this day can’t name 3 baseball players past or present). So being asked to shoot his wedding was such an honor!
I started off on this beautiful sunny day, with the guys while they were getting ready. They were a little shy at first, but I got them to warm up. And to much of their surprise, I went to high school with a good bit of them! I guess I look a little different now than I did back then, so I was unrecognizable by most! Haha!
I LOVED that I was able to catch these guys watching cartoons before they noticed me. Hahaha! It still cracks me up!
They all had on matching argyle socks and the one pair of cowboy boots were quite a hoot!

After I was all done with the guys, I headed down to the church where I was meeting up with the girls. They arrived shortly after me, with hair and make up done and all the bridesmaids were fully dressed and ready to go. Every one of them simply stunning! Katie showed up in a pair of shorts and a tank top and still looked absolutely radiant! You could just see the glow shining off of her. And not only glow, but you couldn’t miss the excitement and emotion she had. The poor thing kept tearing up and couldn’t take that smile off of her face for anything! It was so amazing to see how happy she was!
Before the wedding, Katie wrote Stephen a letter that she had delivered to him right before the ceremony. I didn’t get to see him read it, but from the look on her face when she handed it over, I know it had to be very personal and heartfelt.
I don’t know who was happier, Katie or her mom! I know it was Katie’s wedding day, but to see your daughter marry the person that was put here by God just for them, has to be an incredible sight. And Mom got quite emotional helping her daughter get ready for the biggest day of her life.
That’s all for now! Check back soon to see the rest of Stephen & Katie’s wedding day!
